- The Honest Kitchen is a private, family owned pet food company located in the heart of San Diego, CA.
- Our company was officially founded in 2002 in the kitchen of a Beach Cottage. Today we occupy the upper floor of a historic former bread factory.
- First and foremost, we are a company of animal lovers. Eight or nine dogs ranging from 8lbs Chihuahuas to 100lbs Rhodesian Ridgebacks, join us at our office every day!
- We also have 15 human employees.
- Our foods are sold nationwide, through independent pet supply stores, holistic vet offices, training centers as well as online.

- Our company began out of a search to find a solution to a problem: How could a fresh, uncooked home-made pet-food consisting of 'people-food' ingredients, be made more convenient and easier to prepare, while still remaining healthy? The result of this labor of love is the product line-up we are proud to offer today.
