TTouch is a form of bodywork that is world-renowned. TTouch can be used along with good nutrition, moderate vaccine protocols, complementary medicine and positive training methods, as a valuable tool in helping our animal companions reach optimum health. The following information is adapted from http://tteam-ttouch.com
TTouch was developed by Linda Tellington Jones, more than 30 years ago It is a form of massage that’s based on circular movements of the fingers and hands all over the body. TTouch is intended to activate the function of the cells and awaken cellular intelligence – and has been likened to “turning on the electric lights of the body.”
Tellington TTouch can help in cases of:
- Excessive Barking and Chewing
- Leash Pulling
- Jumping Up
- Aggressive Behavior
- Extreme Fear and Shyness
- Resistance to Grooming
- Excitability and Nervousness
- Car Sickness
- Problems Associated With Aging
The Tellington TTouch method is based on cooperation and respect – and offers a positive approach to training. It can improve performance and health. It also helps establish a deeper rapport between humans and animals through increased understanding and more effective communication.
Using a combination of specific touches, lifts, and movement exercises, TTouch helps to release tension and increase body awareness. This allows the animal to be handled without provoking typical fear responses, which means that he can then more easily learn new and more appropriate behaviors. TTouch is also used to assist with recovery from illness or injury, or just enhance quality of life.
There are many certified practitioners teaching TTouch around the world who can show you how to help you with your dog, cat or other pet. Please check the ‘Practitioner Directory’ to find your nearest TTouch Practitioner.
