White As Snow!

I would like to write a review on your Keen formula. My Bichon’s been on it since the middle of September and I have seen the effects of your healthy food! The pads of his feet have become very, very black. For a while on the old food, they were looking grayish and not the dark black color pads that a Bichon Frise should have. Next, he had bad tear stains on the fur around his eyes and also stains around his mouth. They were very noticeable. After 2 weeks on Keen, they were gone! Third, he has noticeably more energy now. Fourth, he has finally stopped scratching! After being on Keen for a couple weeks, his allergies stopped. The Honest Kitchen was the only food that made his tear stains and beard stains go away completely.

It also feels so good that my dog loves his food and eats it when I put it down!

I have to tell you how much I love this book.

I would just like to tell you that I received your new recipe book “Made out of Love” and I have to tell you how much I love this book. I love the recipes; I love the pictures, and all the information about each product. You have done an outstanding job on this; it is filled with so much valuable information on each page.(Please let Lucy know)

This recipe book has something for everyone regardless of the type of food they feed. My 3 girls are so fortunate; they were raised on home prepared meals. Since I work full time, sometimes it was hard to come home from work after a long shift and put fruit and veggies in the blender to make “the green goop”, and mix with their meat. I tried everything, even making large batches and freezing individual servings, it was time consuming, and truly a labor of love. I always looked and remained open to a better, easier way to feed.

I grew up with my Mom using vitamins and herbs with us and making sure our meals were nutritious, and our pets basically ate the same thing that we did. Back then our pups eat a lot of healthy table scrapes and they never even received all the shots that they hand out now days, but our dogs were always very healthy and they each lived a long life. I learned back then the importance of good nutrition, not only for us, but also for our pets. I guess I was one of the lucky ones, who had been taught by my Mother how important good nutrition is, which in turn I have passed down to my sons. Having that knowledge and your product, it just does not get any better than this. Good feeding is preventive medicine for both people and pups.

I came across Honest Kitchen Food while down at the SDHS, and was very curious about it. I went home and started looking into to it, reading reviews, and looking into the ingredients, and after several days I decided to give it a try, I am so glad I did. It has definitely made it easier for me, no more having to come home to chop up veggies and put it into the blender. Now I re hydrate, and add what I want, it’s like working smarter, not harder.

I could go on and on, but I did have to let you know about the recipe book I received, and how much I love it. I am looking forward to any new products that might be coming out in 2010.

Thank you again for such wonderful products for our pets.

Rockin’ the new Honest Kitchen Tee!

Hi! My name is Benjamin and I am a four year old Golden Retriever. I am so excited about the food that I am eating and I am just dying to share it with everyone!

When I was younger I had a ton of tummy and digestive issues. I went through an awful ordeal called HGE – (a disease called Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis, which causes sudden episodes of vomiting and bloody diarrhea – no fun, let me tell ya!) They don’t know yet what causes this rare disorder, but for us dogs who have gone through HGE being on an easy to digest food is a MUST! I was on canned food for a while, but for an 80 pound dog like me it was very expensive for my mom to feed me just canned food – I was eating about FOUR cans a day! Then my mommy discovered the raw food diet. I do exceptionally well on raw food but sometimes it is just a lot of work and mommy doesn’t always have time to defrost and mix the raw for me – and on days like that giving me kibble is just not an option because of my super sensitive tummy. It is just way too processed and hard for me to digest. That is why my mommy was so excited when she discovered Honest Kitchen dehydrated dog food! I’ve eaten it is my sole diet before and it’s also just something my mom keeps on hand for days that feeding me raw just isn’t an option.

THK Ben

Sometimes I wear my Honest Kitchen tee shirt because it is an excellent conversation starter. A lot of people who feed yucky commercial pet food are not open to the idea of raw food but Honest Kitchen is a great alternative and much easier to be introduced to!

Thanks Honest Kitchen for helping my tummy and keeping me happy and healthy!!!

Sincerely,
Benjamin

Thanks for sharing, Sandra!

I love Honest Kitchen and so does my little mini schnauzer Annie. It was almost like a miracle when I switched over to Embark. I had tried five different foods over the course of eight months with my little girl and she continuously had diarrhea or soft stools. It was exhausting and frustrating because I wasn’t sure Annie was getting enough nutrition as she was growing. At ten months (she is 13 months now) I switched her over to Honest Kitchen and her stools were formed and firm OVER NIGHT! I couldn’t believe it. Stools have been fine since and there has been no looking back.

I tell everyone I know my story and I know that I have helped a few people with their dogs. I think it has helped my one friend’s Bichon Frise with all its lumps and bumps on its body. It has stopped itching and no more bumps.

The food makes Annie’s breath sweet and her poop has hardly any smell. She seems very healthy and happy and content and I know a lot of that has to do with Honest Kitchen.

Sincerely,
Sandra

Keb’ Mo’ finds his ‘Fountain of Youth’

When notifying a customer that their local pet shop, Cutter’s Mill Pet Store, would be carrying The Honest Kitchen, we learned of the wonders THK has done for her pup, Keb’ Mo’!

keb mo

Keb’ Mo’ was named after the blues singer.

“…I can’t say enough good things about the diet. My 5 year old Vizsla, who had stomach problems, stool issues, etc. is thriving on your grain free formulations. When he was sick, his activity level was slowing down. Now that he is eating your food, his activity level is high, no more belly aches, and some of the gray hairs on his muzzle have fallen out to make way for red hairs! For my dog, it has truly been like a “fountain of youth”! My only problem now is keeping the food away from my human friends who wonder if it might make them look younger!..”
