The ounces in a cup do vary depending on how ‘packed’ you make a cup, as well as the chunkiness of each particular blend, and the density of ingredients (which varies depending on harvest and natural moisture content. On average, most of our foods are about 4 oz or 115g per cup but it would be best to measure out a cup and weigh it on your own scale if you want a very precise quantity.

When I feed Honest Kitchen, I have a nice kitchen scale and prefer to feed by weight (dry ounces) instead of cups, since I’ve found it to be more precise, and reliable day-to-day. Can you please share how many dry-ounces are in one cup of Zeal?

Like Simone Clark, I love the openness of The Honest Kitchen. I feel like I know exactly what’s in the food, if you make changes, you tell us. I love that you won’t use anything from China. I feel good that my two dogs are getting the best in their food and they sure love it! I have contacted THK via both email and phone and have always gotten a quick reply and answer to my question. I wanted to add, the new zip top bags are so welcome, no more clothespins to try to hold it closed, which was difficult when first opening a box!

I recently tried Zeal. Both of my dogs are incredibly picky eaters, and extremely spoiled. I have tried many forms of Raw and Dehydrated foods with out much success. My wonderful vet Dr. Jenna Hauck from VetAcuWellness, in Jacksonville Beach, Fl. who practices acupuncture, nutrition, chiropractic and herbal therapies carries Honest Kitchen, and strongly recommended it.
My Molly (a tiny Maltese/Yorkie) is biggest Diva around, and she loves the Zeal. She also has extreme skin problems including allergies to fleas. I believe Zeal along with holistic measures are helping heal her skin. Thank you to The Honest Kitchen for making an incredible food, and Dr. Jenna for being a retailer.

Three of my cats love their Prowl “stew”– I tell them mom’ s making stew and my one cat starts chirping in anticipation. I’ll add fresh or cooked chicken hearts to make it even more nutritious and delicious and it disappears even faster. Thanks Honest Kitchen for a great, nutritionally sound product!
