A Day in The Honest Kitchen
For most of the human and canine staff at The Honest Kitchen, our working day begins with a walk on the beach, a romp at the local hiking trails or a play in one of San Diego’s great dog-friendly parks. Some staff take to the trails of Rancho Santa Fe with Tristan, a former racehorse who’s also assisting with the R&D on some supplements.
Once everyone is settled in at our downtown San Diego office, the working day begins for the human staff and the hounds partake in a little playful wrestling. Soon, the office pups settle into their respective beds and take a morning snooze.
Tea Time is a weekly meeting where we humans coordinate our various projects, bring one another up to date – and battle with the canine contingent for space on the sofas. It’s not usually the dogs who end up with a spot in the floor.
Taste testing is a favorite occupation for many members of the team; humans and pups taste every batch that comes off our production line as part of our Quality Control program, as well as various raw ingredients that are set to be included in new recipes.
The arrival of the mail is always cause for excitement and great delight is taken at gracing any suit-clad reps with a little hair and drool to help brighten up their day.
