Giving back - Pawlanthropy

At The Honest Kitchen, we give a percentage of our profits to a number of animal-welfare, humanitarian and environmental, charitable causes. In the fiscal year 2007, approximately 25% of net profits were donated to charity.

Our Pawlanthropy Program now has several operatives for Giving Back to the community and to animals in need.

Our Charity Of The Month is a noble cause selected by our company to receive a portion of the profits from that particular month's sales in our online Shop.

Event Donations

The Honest Kitchen provides product samples, full-sized products and occasional monetary donations to a variety of 501c3 and other non-profit events nationwide. Such events include Charity Galas, Walks, Raffles, Auctions, Sponsorships, Goodie Bag items, and other community outreach programs.

Non-Profit Animal Rescue Organizations

may qualify for a 30% discount on product purchasesmade through our online Shop. Such organizations include Breed Rescues, Sanctuaries, Shelters and Foster Families associated with registered rescue organizations. This discounted food is intended to be used for rescue animals. Many local stores also offer special programs for rescue groups. Please contact your local store to find out what's available.

Service Animals

The Honest Kitchen now offers a 10% discount to pre-approved, registered Service Animals including Seeing Eye Dogs, Canine Companions for Independence, Search & Rescue Animals as well as military and police dogs. Proof of certification for the animal’s professional occupation must be provided in order to qualify. Please email us in order to apply.

Other non-charitable organizations such as breed societies and sports groups may also submit requests for product literature, raffle prizes and mini-samples for goodie-bags as product giveaways for non-charity events.

Have we already donated to your organization?

Upon receiving products, samples and/or literature, please mail or fax a letter detailing what was received. This is necessary for tax purposes. Having proper documentation affords The Honest Kitchen the ability to continue to give back. Thank you.
