Who We Are

The Honest Kitchen is a private, family owned company. We’re located in the up-and-coming East Village near Downtown San Diego. We have a pet-friendly office and we’re joined by up to seven dogs each day. What do they love most about coming to work – the taste tests, of course! Though we like to think they come here each day just because they enjoy our company. Cupboard Love.

Our company began as the result of a search for a solution: Kibble and cans are not so healthy, raw is messy and costs a lot. What sort of food would offer the convenience of the former, with the health benefits of the latter? Dehydrated food was the answer. Read more here.

Protecting our Playground

We’re committed to doing our part in protecting and preserving the earth and its natural environment. That’s why all our recipes are packaged in a combination of USA-made, 100% recycled biodegradable paper and partially post-consumer recycled plastic, to keep the contents fresh. Our boxes are printed with soy-based inks. The inner bags are unprinted.
