My dogs love this food!! We have 3 dogs (2 Boxers 1 male ,1 female & 1 French Bulldog female). Our boxers are 11 1/2 years old and lately it has been hard for them to chew so this food is wonderful for them. Our Frenchie will eat just about anything but the Honest Kitchen food she devours. We actually have to slow her down when eating so she doesn't choke!! Our 2 girls have wheat/grain allergies, so we have to watch & read all labels and ingredients on all products. We believe in giving our dogs (fur children) the best food available that are free from fillers, by products, wheat etc. This works great because Honest Kitchen offers grain-free in a few flavors so we can feed all 3 of them the same food which makes it that much easier. I would recommend this product to anyone who loves their animals.
Our Golden Retriever, Murphy, loves this food and it seems to work very well given his condition. He has an esophageal stricture and cannot eat solid food. Previously we had been blenderizing all his kibble, but with the Honest Kitchen we no longer have to do that and he is getting a healthier diet! The only reason I docked 1 paw is because I agree with the other reviews that the box labeling that 10 lbs = 40 lbs of food is very misleading. 40 lbs of dry kibble, after blenderizing, would last him about 2 months...THK 10 lb box only lasts less than 3 weeks! I thought it was a cost effective option, but turns out it is quite a bit more expensive than even the prescription low fat food he had ben on previously.
My dogs love this food! I have a German Shepard and a jack Russell and they seem to go through a 10 pound box in about 3 weeks. They get so excited when it's being mixed and can hardly wait for the three minutes to be up. I only wish the box would last longer or didn't cost as much. Ether way they love it and I'm happy it's good for them.
My Cairn and Westie love this food! I usually use Preference and make meals ahead and freeze them but Force is wonderful when we are traveling, in our RV, suddenly run out of pre-made meals, or just want a change of pace. The dogs particularly love Force mixed with their regular Preference blend. Five Paws!
My German Shepherd dog likes (not loves) this food. But my contention is the claim that the 10 lbs bag equates to 40 lbs of food. I've bought and used two 10 lbs bags, I feed my dog twice a day and I'd say it's closer to 25 lbs and at $70.00+ an order this product is too pricey for me.
