I began using Keen when my elderly dachshunds began to require a soft, gentle, nutritional food. I heard horror stories about canned dog food and I did not want to go that route. Our local pet center suggested The Honest Kitchen line of foods and we tried Keen. Freddie and Bam Bam instantly loved it! It was easy for them to eat (they have few teeth left), and they now sing and jump around when it's dinner time! I recommend this for all dogs, especially older dogs who need a nutritional soft food.

We recently adopted a very underweight 12 year old English Setter who was not a big fan of eating. This was a total change from the rest of our pack. We had to rotate through several foods, dry, wet and dehydrated to keep her interested in eating and get the pounds on. The Keen Turkey and Revel Chicken formulations not only helped get her to eat, but she still will eat them daily with her kibble. She has now been with us 3 months an we were able to get the much needed 10 pounds on her and keep her interested in food! We have been using many of THK products Overy the years and have always been happy with each new one we try ;)

About a year ago I thought my dog had an allergy to chicken. We got her off kibble and started The Honest Kitchen, Zeal and Halcyon. Then we moved on to the beef flavors. She loved those too. I was hesitant to try Keen thinking that if my dog was allergic to chicken then she might be allergic to turkey too. At the same time I wanted to give her more meal variety. I ordered the sample pack to start and my dog LOVED the turkey. She would "talk" to me while I prepared her food by barking with excitement and dancing in circles around the island. And the best part is that she tolerated the turkey with no problem.

After 6 months being exclusively on The Honest Kitchen, my dogs skin condition has greatly improved. She rarely gets a hot spot, her ear infections are no longer an issue and I am happy to report that she has been free of UTIs.

An added benefit of switching over to The Honest Kitchen has been my dog's weight loss. She has lost about 5 lbs and this has helped tremendously with her osteoarthritis. My dog is now within a healthy weight range for her breed and age. She wants to go for longer walks, is willing to jog with me, and best of all wants to play fetch again.

I love that The Honest Kitchen has so many varieties of food to try. It makes it easy to switch between the proteins offered. My dog loves the variety and I tend to switch off her flavors whenever I run out of one flavor.

I am still reluctant to try chicken. But I am starting to think my dog is not allergic to chicken, just has seasonal allergies and was not getting enough good quality food when she was eating kibble. Thank you to the Honest Kitchen for giving my dog the nutrients she needs to look great, be healthy, and have the shiniest coat ever!

I have a ten year old Shih Tzu that became chronically sick two years ago. My family members would tell me Lovey didn't look well and she just moped around. Then on a recurring basis she started to have blood in her stool, the Vet told me it was probably stress. I work from home and walk my dog five times a day, play with her and make sure she gets a lot of exercise. How could it be stress?

I tried all the most expensive kibble, and finally decided that Lovey must have developed an allergy to the preservatives in dry dog food. Since feeding her Keen and Zeal (I switch them) she has been a COMPLETELY NEW dog!! I am thrilled. Also, you can start feeding your dog any of these products, since unlike dry less-nourishing food the dog doesn't need time to "get used" to the food. I am sure The Honest Kitchen added years to my Lovey's life. I am soooo GRATEFUL!!!

I only feed my dogs whole food, and believe in variety to cover all the bases, nutritionally, as well as to keep their palettes entertained. I trust Honest Kitchen to provide safe, nutritious and tasty foods for my dogs, and they do. I am grateful to this company for the care and quality foods they provide.

I initially ordered the sample sizes and my dogs went completely crazy for this food. They dug into it with no hesitation at all. They've always been enthusiastic eaters and have always been fed high quality food, kibble and canned. But their enthusiasm for THK is above and beyond! I'd been researching food and wanting to feed something a lot better then kibble and canned for a long time but I really don't have time to do raw or completely homemade. So this is the perfect solution for us. Also nice that it's just as easy to take along when traveling as kibble.

A very good food for my picky eater. She gets very excited at dinner time and gobbles it right up! Leave the boring kibble behind, your pup will thank you!

Honest Kitchen has made my dog love meal time! He is a 10 year old chihuahua and has never been too excited about his kibble - he'd sniff, come back later and eat half a bowl. When he had to have a few teeth pulled and wasn't chewing his food well, or eating much of it, and was losing weight, we considered doing homemade food, but I was worried about time, cost, and making sure he had the complete nutrition. A friend recommended THK, we got a few sample packs, and will never go back! He now jumps up and down at mealtime excited to eat, and licks his bowl clean. The first week or so we would add extras to his food (eggs, rice, chicken) and make it with chicken broth, because he wasn't totally into it, but that quickly changed. We got this one because he is fine with grains and it was a good price. Recommend without any reservations!
