I have two very active Border Terriers that compete in dog shows and agility competitions. Rosie had regular digestive problems while trying every “holistic” and “natural” commercial food on the market. And Rider was an extremely picky eater. Embark has changed all of that. Now… NO more digestive problems and Rider does a happy dance waiting for his meal and will not give up the bowl until it is licked clean. They both now have the best coats, amazing lean muscle, perfect weight, and beautiful teeth!
Thank you Honest Kitchen!
I love your dog food, it is the best and my dogs agree!
I would like to know if I should be giving them a supplement
also, or if the food is enough. I have been giving them
preference with chicken added, but I am thinking of changing
to Embark, to cut the cost of buying extra meat. I have a 2 year
old Jack Russell, and a small chihuahua/terrier mix 1 year.
They are very active we take them hiking and to the beach 2
to 3 times a week aswell as twice daily walks.
Thanks
Janie, Cash and Ivy!
We absolutely love Honest Kitchen. We have two Weimaraners which are very active. Well, the older one Hank (80lbs) loves to eat everything in site and Paige (56lbs), well, lets just say she is the total opposite.
Hank was self feed, so we had no idea of what to give him. We know we did not want to give him grocery bought dog food. So my wife did some research and we came across Honest Kitchen. We located a store in Carmel Valley, CA which sold Honest kitchen so we decided to give it a try.
We tried the whole food diet for the dogs including cutting whole chickens and giving them both a quarter a piece for breakfast and dinner (yes we only feed them twice a day). Needless to say that got very expensive before finding Honest Kitchen.
So after giving them Honest Kitchen we noticed that they, well Hank, was still not satisfied. So after my wife did more research we decided to give them beef. The best grade beef in the stores that carry the most fat, I think its around 80% lean or something like that.
To make a long story short, after mixing Honest Kitchen and some beef (which by the way will make your Honest Kitchen last twice as long) it has been awesome. They cannot wait to eat…if you know what I mean. So we are happy that we use Honest Kitchen on a regular basis.
Thanks so much for creating an awesome product with high quality ingredients.

My pet store (Metro Pet Market in Regina SK Canada) just started stocking The Honest Kitchen dog foods. They suggested that I try it because of the high quality ingredients, so I did. I bought embark and Lizzie LOVES it!!! I will be trying the other varieties in the future and I will be asking them to stock THK cat food too.

My last trip to Metro Pet Market in Regina, SK lead me to trying a new food for my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Burton. Burton tends to be somewhat picky when it comes to his food, however, when I cut open the bag of Embark Burton could barely maintain a sit/stay. let alone a relaxed sit/stay. As I was adding the water I noticed out the corner of my eye, Burton was sliding his way off his mat toward the counter where i was mixing. He had two long shoelaces of drool hanging out of his mouth also. I sent him back for a sit/stay and placed his dish down at which point he stretched out like a super hero on the floor toward his dish maintaining only his back toes on his mat!!! Funniest thing I’ve seen him do in a long time. I would say this is by far the best food he has had.
I look forward to trying other products as well.

I have 3 older wennie dogs that are very picky and won’t eat anything else now that they have had it. For years (our oldest is 16 yrs old) we have struggled to get our “Buddy” to eat and spent alot on vet visits to try to overcome his picky habit.
I know this is for younger , active dogs, but you should include older active PICKY dogs too! Wonderful Product. Thanks for giving us a Honestly good for your dog food!
My Newfoundland puppy was suck from the beginning. He had on and off stomach issues and never had firm stool. I switched slowly to several different “high quality” dry dog foods – with no success. We had test after test done – nothing was wrong and I was feeling hopeless. Until I was referred to a vet who put him on Embark. He is healthy for the first time in his life! His energy is up, he is gaining weight and his stool is normal. Can’t say enough about this food.
If you haven’t done a side by side comparison of dog food ingredients you should. I was feeding my french bull one of the well known brands, but was ignorant in recognizing the many allergy symptoms she had- foot licking, terrible gas, seemingly incurable ear infections, skin irritations. A referral to our Vet School, made me aware of the toll that food and environmental allergies can take. Switching to Embark has made a huge difference.
