Soon after my dog was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor, I changed his diet and started feeding this vegetable base with protein after doing some research. I also give him supplements and a chinese herb and then I mix it all in. He loves this and so far he has fought off any regrowth of this cancer. Although this is costly, it saves me a lot of time because all I have to do is add protein after rehydrating the base.

This product is wonderful for everyone who likes to home cook for their dogs. Its made my life and my choice to cook for my dogs 100X easier. I used to have to worry about balancing their meals out nutritionally. It was a time consuming and costly (because non dehydrated produce just doesn’t last long). I feel at ease knowing exactly what is in this product, how its made and who it is made by (which is exactly why I switched to home cooking for my three). I was worried about the size of the pieces of dried veggies because I have three chihuahuas (one with a terrible over bite and has issues with big pieces). This product once hydrated was perfect! All three loved it. Even my littlest with the overbite didn’t have the slightest of problems. Would recommend for all sized dogs (even the teeny weenys like mine!)

The only unfortunate part of this story is that it took me a very long year and half to find this wonderful food for my dog, Hope. No longer do I dread having to “pick up” after her. I started using Preference about a week ago. I can’t believe how much my dog loves the food. She has always been very a picky eater and now she begs for her meals. I add cooked meat and some cottage cheese. Great product!
