I am about to adopt a Persian I have been fostering for about a month now. He came to me with diarrhea, and a history of diarrhea (in and outside of the litter box)for 3 months. I tried a few different foods (dry/canned), with limited success, and then I tried some Prowl samples…and I found his first solid stool!!! I was so excited I almost took a picture and put it on FB! I am a Vet Asst, and we get excited about these kinds of things ;-) Thank you for giving this little boy a semi-regular GI system!

Hi! There are just a few cranberries in the Prowl recipe – about 1.5% in total so they do not have a very acidifying effect on the total formulation. Do you have a target of the ideal pH your cat needs? The pH of the Prowl is 6.28.

Hi! The nutrient profile for each diet is linked form that product page. Just click the link that says ‘nutritional info’ here and this will take you to a new page with info on how to interpret our nutrient profiles, with links to the PDF’s at the bottom. Let us know if you have any trouble finding it!

Yes! It’s absolutely fine to mix our foods with a good quality kibble (or other types of food such as raw or homemade). We recommend feeding your cat the appropriate amount for his ideal (not current) bodyweight, if he needs to lose weight. You can also try to encourage extra activity as part of his weight loss program, through extra play!

my cat finally got the hang of eating your food after I mixed a few bits of his dry food and a small can of cat food with it. Is this mixing ok and do I just put out a couple spoons full of mix out for him to eat. He’s trying to loose weight and is supposed to be 16 pounds.

I don’t know how much of your food to feed him.

Please publish nutritional analysis. That’s the only way I can compare Prowl to other foods. Thanks!

  7. Lexi says:

just ordered some for my refuses-to-eat-real-raw cat to try. I hope he likes it.

I would love for you to come out with a chicken free version. My other kitty has severe food allergies to chicken.

    Hi,
I have a concern about the cranberry included in Prowl. I have a cat who has had acid based stones in the past and I would be worried about the acidifying affect of the cranberries on him. Thanks for your response.

  9. Lucy says:

Hi! There is plenty of naturally occurring taurine in the meat we use so we don’t have to add any to the product!

  10. Luana says:

I didn’t see taurine in the Prowl ingredient list. Is it included in the product?
