My French Bulldogs liked 'Keen' MUCH more then Thrive....I decided to get Thrive because (in my mind I figured) it's more expensive so therefore better for my dog but nope, they din't care for it! SO if your dog doesn't need to be on Thrive for a specific reason consider the cheaper Keen which is just as healthy and apparently yummy!

I searched long and hard for a good quality food that I could give to my diabetic dog. Abby was diagnosed about 6 months ago. Well, I have to give this food the highest rating, so far. Her blood glucose levels have never been more stable, and just wanted to share my experience with others, if there are others searching for the same. I would definitely give Thrive a long hard look, and definitely give it a try.

In addition, my Abby has skin allergies. She develops Schnauzer bumps, and definitely will start the paw licking. For a diabetic dog, you definitely do not want additional aggravations to create infections. These too have gone a way since she has been on Thrive.

One thing to mention, is that I do give some raw meat (about 1oz), as I read that Thrive may be lacking a bit on protein. In either case, whether you add the additional protein or no, it is a great food!!

Thank you Honest Kitchen!!

I have 6 dogs all large breeds ranging in age from pups to adults. I also have a pregnant female who I thought this food would be great for since it is good for pregnant and nursing dogs. NONE of them would even touch it. They are picky kibble eaters and my pregnany girl won't touch kibble so she is on food rolls. Now I have a 10lb box of thrive that will collect dust on the shelf.. So sad though because everyone said it was great and their dogs gobbled it down. Now I am still in search for a dehydrated dog food that my dogs WILL eat.

I was sure my dogs wouldn't like this stuff, and I've never seen them SO happy to eat.

I have a boston terrier who has really bad allergies. Off the charts for flax seed, beef, milk, brewer's yeast. I've found through experimenting that I also have to keep her away from the illusive "Natural Flavoring". It has been impossible to find a food for her. Poor thing, her muzzle is always red and she's always itching.

2 days on your food, and I'm seeing improvement already. Her muzzle is clearing up, and she is no longer chewing on her feet non stop.

This is the ONLY food I've found to date with NONE of the ingredients she is allergic to.

Thank you Thank you Thank you!

As I started out saying, both my dogs love this stuff.

My two Yorkshire Terriers love your Thrive food. They are in great condition physically and have very healthy bowl movements. I like the fact that the food is ground to a finer consistency. My dogs do not go for chunky food.

I have ordered Preference for a number of years adding chicken to it. It worked well. The one thing I liked about Preference was the alfalfa. Because your meat quality is so good, I have decided to start using your Thrive food. It has only chicken as the meat and my dogs do well with just the chicken and not other meats added. Just wish there was some added alfalfa.

I will continue to order your food as long as you are around. I Hope that is forever.

Thanks again for producing such a high quality food in a way that is very environmentally safe.
