Each month The Honest Kitchen team chooses a charity to support, and we give a percentage of our online sales to their cause. This month, we’ve chosen to donate to “4 Paws for Ability”, an amazing organization that raises money for families that need the assistance of a service dog. A fully trained service dog can cost upwards of $20,000, and 4 Paws for Ability helps ease the financial burden.
This month, we’d like to direct our help one special boy in particular, Bradyn, who suffers from Epilepsy.
For Bradyn, a service dog could: provide a distraction during unpleasant medical procedures, participate in therapy sessions, and be trained to use a tethering system to help him maintain his balance when his medications make him feel off balance. The most important thing is that this dog be able to alert his parents to seizures as they are happening in the middle of the night.
As dog lovers, we all know the awesome commitment and loyalty that pets have to their companions. We’re so thankful for this organization for their unrelenting commitment to take the pet-human bond to another level, and changing the lives of families everywhere.
