- Food Allergies / Intolerances, Skin / Coat Issues, Weight Issues: Overweight, Picky Eater
When we got Raven we were told that she was a Mini Pin/ Chihuahua mix. I knew she might have an issue with weight but I figured getting some good kibble would work just fine. Bag after bag of her being picky and not liking either the flavor or the texture we finally had found one. I've been concerned about kibble quality since the late 2004 - early 2005 dog food recalls and even though we found something that Raven liked I was still on the look out. Since we brought Raven home, she had always had really bad dandruff, dry and itchy skin, seasonal allergies and suspected food allergies. One vet trip in late 2012, for something wrong with her eye, and I discovered that Raven was overweight. We also discovered that what I thought was wrong with her eye was just some crazy allergies. I really picked up my search and found The Honest Kitchen. After being on Force for about 3 months, her dandruff was clearing up, her weight was going down, a lot of her seasonal allergies were in control, and her food allergies were in control. It's been almost a year now and she's at her proper weight, and for the most part isn't itchy or having dandruff fly everywhere, or being an allergy ridden dog. I am so happy we found a food that I can fully trust, that travels well and that Raven just can't contain herself when waiting for it. Thank you so much!
