We had just been thru multiple vet bills from a new puppy addition to the family due to the pug coming to us with Parvo and then Pebbles our beloved schnauzer started getting so sick. She was rushed to the Vet where she ran numerous test and we found out that she was suffering from severe pancreatitis, vomiting, and dehydration. We were told that she would have to remain on a very very low crude fat diet for the remainder of her life. We were now looking very carefully at every food out there, every snack. Reading every ingredient that we were giving her. If she has a higher serving per day of crude fat of 4% then she has severe IBS/Vomiting episodes. After trying several dog foods and even debated on making our own dog food for her and the pug by this time, we chose Honest Kitchen as our best option. She is on Zeal and also can have Beams for treats. She loves it. Thought we would have a hard time changing her over to this diet. But with everything she went thru she was ready for the change and has enjoyed it for the last 2 years. She is healthy and happy. Her Coat is healthy and she doesn't have the tear stains that she use to have from all of the other commercial dog foods that contained different food dyes in them.
