True Story: Boo
- Other (Italian Greyhound)
- Heart issues, Seizures / Epilepsy, Senior Needs
One March 15, 2013 BooBooKitty was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure (CHF). The cardiologist estimated that she would live another 12-18 months and put her on a large cocktail of medications and recommended a low sodium diet. Boo has always been a chowhound and eats everything from strawberries and carrots to any kind of kibble and treats. None of the low sodium foods we tried were met with enthusiasm. It was getting harder to get Boo to eat regular meals. I feared she would lose weight and her health would rapidly decline. A friend recommended The Honest Kitchen. I was skeptical, but gave it a try. BooBooKitty dances for her meals again and eagerly eats up her food and licks the bowl clean! Boo’s primary vet says she reminds him of “Benjamin Buttons” and every time he sees her she is in better heath than before. She seems to be aging in reverse!
I cannot thank you enough for making a high quality food that is EASY for me to feed and appealing to my dog. Thank you Honest Kitchen!
