- Low Energy / Vitality, Skin / Coat Issues
Gunny and I have faced many adventures together. He has been my go-to guy for camping, hiking, training classes, agility, and much more. Our current adventure is in his ageing. At 7 years old a German Shepherd can start to show their age in many ways. With Gunny, I could see his coat changing texture, becoming more course and not as sleek or shiny. I could tell in his energy level, that his "go all day every day" had become more of a "go maybe today and Sunday" kind of thing. I fully believe that Mother Nature knows best and as such foods and healthy supplements are the best ways to keep any living being doing their best for as long as they can. For a long time I have had a passion for feeding my dogs the best, but for my pack feeding raw/homemade is just not something I can manage right now. So in seeking out raw alternatives I found Honest Kitchen. After only 5 weeks of our changed feeding Gunny has shown to not only LOVE this food and digest it well, but it is also improving his over all well being. His coat is starting to feel the way it should again and his energy level is coming back. At his last agility class I was working him and had to stop for a moment and smile when I realized I was starting to see my boy come back. The JOY he has for taking on the obstacles and the drive to keep going, to keep working, is coming back to him. I really feel I have chosen the right "body fuel" to keep him in his best shape for years to come.
