I feel very privileged to have three (3) "best friends" in my household.
Sheila and Aussie Blu are Australian Cattle Dogs and almost 10 years old. Both of my girls HAD a past job of rounding up my horses for almost half of their lives and stayed very slim and trim with all of their daily exercise. However, for the past 5 1/2 years, both of them have led a very sedentary lifestyle (we no longer live on acreage) and have packed on the pounds due to inactivity. Both have been fed twice-a-day meals of a premium dry kibble.
Sugar is an adopted/rescued white Toy Poodle and, presently, is 10-and-a-half years old. It seems impossible that she was (according to the veterinarian) approximately 18 months old when she came into my life! Needless to say, she is a true "lap dog" at 6 pounds and is my constant companion. She is a "whenever-she-wants-to-eat" premium dry kibble eater and maintains her girlish figure.
I have been enjoying a vegetarian lifestyle for almost 5 years and recently decided to feed each one of my "best friends" a raw diet. I was delighted to discover The Honest Kitchen and immediately placed an order for each variety of the sample packets.
"The Girls" thoroughly enjoyed their samples..............each of their bowls were spotlessly licked clean!
Initially, I have decided to feed your base product "Preference" and add individual selections of meat in order to see which meat is most beneficial to each of my girls. I will post the outcomes in the future, as well as new "slimmer and trimmer" photos of Sheila and Aussie Blu !
