My frenchies love this stuff. They like it with less water when the food has a thick, sticky oatmeal-like consistency. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that the bag inside the 4-lb box is not re-sealable. The powder leaks all over my cabinets.
I have 4 dogs and tree of them eat Verve. They love it. One does circles for his food. And the other stands up and moves his hands together begging or he jumps up to 4 ft. They love Verve, I love that they are happy.
Both of our Brittany Spaniels love this dog food. Our senior dog is almost 16 and she's unable to eat hard dog food, which is why we switched to the Honest Kitchen. It's really made a difference in the look and feel of their coats too. I highly recommend this brand and this flavor.
My Golden Retriever Mack loves the Verve dog food by Honest Kitchen! The only complaint he has is that he has to wait 3 minutes after I add water to the food and that is a long time in dog minutes!!! I am a veterinarian and I have been so impressed with this company and I love the convenience of their food. Thanks Honest Kitchen for all that you do!
I was asked if my dog liked Verve by Honest Kitchen. I ordered on October 5 and it is now October 15th and I have not received the dog food yet. So I have to give it one paw.
We use Verve and Keen. Frank seems to prefer the Verve over the Keen, so I will probably just stick with this. I am joining the concierge club as well and getting food auto-shipped every few months. Thanks so much for a wonderful group of products!!
We take Verve along for camping and backpacking trips. It's light enough for the dogs to carry in their own packs, and they get the added bonus of having a nice, warm dinner at the end of a long day of hiking! At home, we sometimes use Verve as a topper on their grain-free kibble. I gave this only 4 paws because one of my dogs loves it, the other one likes it, but sometimes doesn't want it. But he's too picky anyway!
My pups name is Wilson, he is a 3.5 year old Rhodeshian Ridgeback. Just within the last 6 months or so he became horribly sick with protein lossing Irritable Bowl Disease (IBD). A dog with IBD can be sensitive to many different things in dog food and there is no apparent cause of IBD. We had been feeding our guy the same brand of food (good quality) since he was 6months old (just rotated proteins) & he never had a problem, until now. Well a ton of money, lots of pain and vet visits later we found out that Wilson was sensitive to fat. His body cant tolerate moderate to high fat food. Well let me tell you its really hard to find dog food that is good quality and low in fat! All the kibble on the market that is low fat has horrible ingrediants. When my husband came across Honest Kitchen I thought he was crazy that there was no way our vet would recommend it for our Wilson (seems like vets only like to recommend big name kibble brands). Well my vet was all for it, limited ingrediants and low fat he said seemed like a good combo for Wilson. Wilson has been on the Verve blend now for a month & his #s are dramatically better with each vet visit allowing us to lower the horrible steroids he is on. So far I am very impressed with Honest Kitchen and the products they sell. And Wilson absolutely loves the food!! We have to hide the boxes of food because he just tears them apart trying to eat the food.
My name is Duncan and I am a 9 year old cairn terrier. After developing stomach issues in my puppyhood, my owners discovered that I have a severe chicken allergy. Since I tend to be mellow (judgers may say lazy), and since I really really love to eat, I have a problem keeping a trim waistline. It's been tough to find a non-chicken food that is lower in fat and calories but still tastes great. I was so happy when my owner let me try Verve, I practically quivered. Well (full disclosure), I really did quiver. And I ate every bite, licked my bowl clean, and then licked my sister's bowl. Thanks, Honest Kitchen!
My Hart isn't a puppy anymore.....She's definitely growing older, and with that, she needs a healthier diet that's easy to eat, and easy to digest. Verve has been wonderful!!! She loves it, never leaves anything behind. And her coat is softer and shinier than it's been in years! She'll be a happy girls for more time to come, and I'll be a happy momma, able to feed her such a wonderful food!
What dog doesn't like beef?! When we switched from feeding basic kibble dog food to improve the health and longevity of our boy Max, we tried a lot of different options, including raw. But when a friend let us try The Honest Kitchen dehydrated foods, it was a gift from above. It's affordable, and Max absolutely loves it!!! And we've noticed great improvements to his energy levels, not to mention the feel and shine of his coat! I'll recommend this product to everyone!
