Brave Coconut Pumpkin Dog Treats

If your dog has a gluten sensitivity, coconut flour is an ideal alternative to whole wheat flour.

Made from ground and dried coconut meat, coconut flour is high in fiber, protein, and healthy fats, and it’s low in sugar, digestible carbohydrates and calories. Plus, it’s perfect for our Brave Coconut Dog Treat recipe. The Honest Kitchen’s Brave formula is designed for dogs with sensitivities to multiple ingredients. Brave features Marine Stewardship Council Certified Pollock, organic coconut, chickpeas, celery, pumpkin and spinach—which makes Brave a wonderful addition to this irresistible homemade treat.

  • 3/4 cup gluten-free oats
  • 1/4 cup flax seed ground
  • 1/3 cup the honest kitchen brave dehydrated formula dry
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350˚F. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.

  6. Place in oven and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool on racks for 1-2 hours.
  8. Store in airtight containers and keep in refrigerator or freezer.

Recipe Notes

If you don't have coconut oil on hand, substitute with vegetable or olive oil.
