Gluten Free Carrot Cake Dog Muffins

Add some veggies to your dog treats—he’ll never know he’s nomming on carrots in our Gluten Free Carrot Cake Dog Muffins! Carrots are low in calories and high in fiber and vitamins, and they help improve skin and coat health, while increasing energy levels. From top to bottom, these carrot muffins are a sweet bite of goodness!

Gluten Free Carrot Cake Dog Muffins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups brown rice flour
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon the honest kitchen’s Pro Bloom Goat Milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup Honey
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray muffin tin with oil or line with paper liner cups.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the egg, peanut butter, oil, and honey. Blend well. Stir in the carrots and mix thoroughly.
  3. Add flour, Pro Bloom, and baking soda into the wet mixture, and fold into batter. Add water when needed.
  4. Fill molds 3/4 of the way full with batter.
  5. Place in oven and bake for 20 minutes or until baked through.
  6. Remove from the oven and let the muffins cool completely before frosting.

Recipe Notes

For icing: once cooled, spread peanut butter over the tops of the muffin and top with a pinch of carrot shreds
