These unusual fruity, chewy treats make a great gift for your pup’s friends if you’re visiting for the holidays. This recipe makes a large batch, so there’s plenty to share or save for later! This recipe includes blueberries which are laden with antioxidants and are especially supportive for the eyes! This recipe makes a large batch, so there’s plenty to share or save for later! Ingredients 1/2 cup The Honest Kitchen Thrive dog food1 cup warm water1/4 cup dried blueberries1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce1 cup oat flour1 free range egg1/2 cup almond butter or coconut oil1 tsp vanilla essence (optional) Instructions Preheat the oven to 350°F.In a large mixing bowl, combine the applesauce, egg, almond butter, vanilla (if using) and water. In a second bowl, combine the oats, Thrive dog food and blueberries.Add the dry ingredients to the wet and mix well.Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead until thoroughly mixed together.Roll out the dough to ¼ inch thick and cut out shapes.Place these onto a greased baking sheet and bake for 45 minutes.Cool on a rack before serving.Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze.
