Fiber and protein rich, buckwheat is a great choice for dogs with sensitive stomachs.
Don’t let its name fool you—buckwheat isn’t wheat at all. In fact, it’s closely related to rhubarb, and when its kernels are ground, it becomes gluten-free flour that’s full of fiber, essential vitamins, and protein. You can use it as an alternative to white flour, which is what we did with our Gluten Free Force Buckwheat Dog Treat recipe. We’ve also added chickpea flour and The Honest Kitchen’s Grain Free Chicken Recipe (Force) for an added punch of protein and tastiness.Ingredients
-
1 cup buckwheat flour
-
3/4 cup chickpea flour
-
1/2 coconut oil
