Ace

Corgi — Age 4

Ace has been fed Honest Kitchen dehydrated food for the past year, switching between the Force and Keen preparations. On both foods, his former skin allergies have been alleviated and his coat is thick and shiny. From my experience I have found that he requires less of this food (than other wet foods) at mealtime because it is a dense, nutrient rich, whole food preparation, making the Honest Kitchen products economical and healthy. Much of their energy and allergy issues are gone. When he went to the vet for annual exam we find out he lost a bit weight because they were already active skinny. Because of the food, the vet said he was in great health. Weve tried almost the entire almost medium to excellent brands of kibble. Since adding THK to my dog's diet, no more trips to the vet, no more meds and prednisone. We only have to give one meal a day of the Honest Kitchen, the other is kibble. THK is so fresh and wholesome. Force and Keen is what our dog seems to like. He can eat grains, like in Verve, but does not like the texture so much. To be honest myself, he does not really like the taste of this food. We do need to add some boiled meats or something tempting for her to eat the whole bowl, but the healthy outcome is worth it. Also this food is so convenient - we tried prepared raw, but I would often forget to thaw it out. This food is easy to prepare and can be easily transported if you need to travel. Go ahead and try it! He LOVES this food. No stomach upset at all. They both lost the pudginess we struggled with, they are more active, their eyes actually sparkle and their coats are super shiny! Unbelievable bonus results! Overall, I have to say that this is the best food available. He has been having dandruff and a dull coat on a diet of high quality, corn free kibble for years. And now, his coat is shiny and flake free within 1 week of starting this diet, and he loves it (thats not saying much because she'll eat anything though). I ate some myself and it is pretty good. It feels good feeding a food that is actually FOOD, not mystery brown chunks. It is pricey, I feed it along with a homemade raw meat/veggie deal, but it is great for traveling. He has taken to this food really well and I have noticed that he shed less and have a ton of energy. Poops are fine and truly not as smelly either. He has slimmed down with this as well as I think being grain free, they are only getting necessary nutrients and not filler. Since switching I've not seen any evidence of issues in behavior or waste and he seems to really like it. Usually at feeding time I'd put the food out and he would sniff it then walk away until he was sure he wasn't getting something else. With the honest kitchen he digs in as soon as it is placed down for him. Thank you Honest Kitchen! Your products saved Ace from dandruff and allergies!
