Apollo is a Blue Belton English Setter. He is serial number 7 in a growing series of English Setters that have owned us. Born in 2007, Apollo joined the family as a companion to Rigel (English Setter) and Buddy (cat). Rigel has since passed away, so Apollo is the head of the household. Early in life, Apollo exhibited special needs, including special care with anesthesia, sutures, dental care, etc. He sees a variety of veterinary providers for his needs. Dr. Jones is his primary care provider; she deals with the mundane to the emergency. Until she retired, Dr. Sturm was Apollo's acupuncturist, chiropractor, and herbal medicine caregiver; we are looking to fill Dr. Sturm's paws... Then there is the dental specialist, the orthopedic specialist, and the list keeps going...
nApollo eats a very healthy diet that includes Honest Kitchen, along with raw and homemade foods. He is a counter surfer, so we have to make sure that Buddy's food is protected. Apollo also enjoys his daily rawhide treats, and he has us well trained when it comes to getting them for him.
