My dog Appa is our pride and joy. He has a sensitive stomach, it seemed like no matter what food we tried he would get sick. He’s a picky eater as well, generally enjoying vegetables more than meat in most cases. I was making his food from scratch but as I’m sure we all know that can be pretty pricy and in my case I was always wondering if his meals were balanced enough, as all the necessary ingredients can be hard to find. We decided to give honest kitchen a try, and not only does he LOVE the food but I swear he has not gotten sick due to his food since we switched. I love how simple it is, and how customizable it can be. We were feeding him the whole grain chicken recipe, but on a trip to visit my family she had some extra of the turkey recipe that her dogs didn’t like, so she gave it to us and Appa seemed to prefer it, now we feed him the whole grain thrkey recipe, and I add his daily anxiety supplement, and a couple other daily supplements for things that his vet recommends. Honest kitchen makes the task of giving supplements so much easier, because he enjoys the taste so much that he doesn’t even care that it’s good for him. I love that I can understand all the ingredients on the label, and when hydrating the food you can see all of those ingredients. I try to convince everyone I know to make the switch, it is so cost effective and it feels so good knowing that not only is his good healthy, but he enjoys it so much too.
