Beatrix is a rescue beagle from the City of Gillette Animal Shelter in Gillette, WY. She's roughly between the ages of 10 and 12; she's now between the ages of 14 and 16. I adopted her to be a buddy to my other beagle, Cooper, who passed away in 2017. She's likely the most snuggly dog I've ever owned.

nI had put Cooper on The Honest Kitchen food before I adopted Beatrix and decided that they both would benefit from this product. As a senior dog, I like to have her on the limited ingredient diets; so far she enjoys Hope and Marvel. She also loves the Beams and Pecks, broths (which we purchased around Christmas time) and honestly any other product THK offers. I also use the food to stuff the dogs' Kongs and freeze them while I'm at work so they have something to keep them busy for a bit.

nAbout a year after I adopted Beatrix, I learned that she had a slipped disc in her neck, which I have written a story about for my foundation, Fur Kids Foundation, http://bit.ly/1QowL3R. At one point, I was giving her more than five different pills a day. I've been able to take her off most of them with the help of quality food from THK, along with some added salmon oils and glucosamine -- and acupuncture! This pup enjoys her walks and playing ball too much to have to deal with pain.
