We got Bella from a local, small breeder who had both parents. They were a small family-run breeder, and all seemed to be well. Bella was a little shy, and less rambunctious that our other two boxers were when they were puppies. We noticed her hair wasn't growing in very well, and she seemed lethargic. After a week or so of moping around, we decided Bella needed to go and see a vet. We were told that she had a severe case of spinal meningitis that was caused by anxiousness. For over a year, she was on harsh medication to help keep her alive, although the side-affects were horrendous. She wouldn't eat and continued to sleep all day. It wasn't until our friends shared their story about the Honest Kitchen dehydrated food. After feeding Bella a mixture of the dehydrated food, along with high fat, raw meat, that she started to make some improvement. Her fur became more shiny and she started to play more. She has now gained more weight and is a happy and healthy (although a bit neurotic!). We are so happy to have found The Honest Kitchen and will continue to use their product for all of our dog family.
