Benny

I adopted a frighten lab mix about 9 months old (vets best guess) from a rescue group and named him Benny approximately 12 yrs ago. Benny has two chronic conditions, anal glands that needs to be expressed every 2-3 months and a sensitive stomach with occasional GI flare ups (mucus in stool). I would cook him chicken breast and white rice for a few days until the mucus clears. Over the years I have tried many different premium kibbles, but due to this sensitive stomach we always switched back to the only brand that works for him. Recently, Benny had 2 GI flare-ups with several globs of bright red blood on top of the mucus which freaked me out and his vet referred us to an internal medicine specialist. The internal medicine vet felt we should try a more conservative approach by prescribing Hills Prescription Diet i/d Gastrointestinal Health along with an antibiotic metronidazole. Previously Benny was placed on another antibiotic which he turn out to be allergic to. So, I was uncomfortable with putting him on another round of antibiotic. Once this clear up, I just knew I wanted to provide him an organic lifestyle which included a more holistic approached to natural living. Benny and I have always been a fan of the honest kitchen treats pecks, smooches, nuzzles and beams. While browsing the different types of food I noticed a link to contact us something I have never done before, I sent a question asking what type of food would they recommend for an older dog with chronic digestive issues? To my surprise I received a responsenot only did these products sound like what I have been searching for, THK offer to send samples!! Benny and I waited with much anticipation and the samples arrived rather quickly. That very afternoon, I made the Pro Bloom, he must have known it was for him because magically he was standing next to me as I was measuring the water. Benny does not drink enough water, but he slup up all cup of the Pro Bloom in no time and looked up at me wanting more. I knew we had a hit. The next day, I mixed the sample Force with the Perfect Form to add as a topper to his kibble. Benny could not wait for his breakfast. Once finished, he looked at me wanting more, again we have a hit!! I quickly placed my order for the Force and Pro Bloom. I really appreciate THK offering samples as I was a bit unsure how he would take to a dehydrated product, but no worries after all. The samples are also a great way to try different products.

Thank you THK for your dedication to providing honest natural products we can feel good feeding our most trusted and loyal companions. Benny and I are forever grateful and a fan for life.
