Blueberry

Blueberry has been plagued by increasingly sever secondary infections due to allergies, to the point that her ear canals were pretty much closed from the inflammation. The infections had become antibiotic resistant in the past 15 months. Shortly after seeking out a specialist and making a surgical plan, Blueberry developed acute, severe pancreatitis. To aid in her recovery and to support the delayed treatment for her allergies and ear infections, I sought out a holistic veterinarian who advised switching to the The Honest Kitchen, specifically anything turkey, no chicken. Blueberry and her catahoula brother Phil have been on Whole Grain Turkey for the past 2+ months (in addition to the other supplements and gut-healing protocol) and Blueberry has not had one ear infection during that time. And she LOVES her food, doing spins and dances for breakfast right after their first pee of the day. It's our new morning ritual and she talks me through each step until she is served. She is vibrant, sassy, and comfortable. Her quality of life has improved drastically and, at almost 14 years old, is just as disappointed by my sitting at a desk for any part of the day as she was when she was 8 years old. She is always ready for an adventure.
