Bookers Bourbon
I have had Booker since he was 6 months old and since day one he was transitioned to raw diet. He has always done well with raw and seemed to be working. As he has aged his allergies to the enviroment have gotten worse and we noticed that he was constantly scratching, breaking skin and constant skin infections. When we went to the vet they suggested that we either put him on a pill to help his scratching for the allergies and try to manage that way. Well like many, that wasn't a solution for us. My parents, when they first started raw diet for their golden started with Honest Kitchen and transitioned over to total raw. For me, i always had to budget cost and it wasn't reasonable for me and Booker when he was doing well off of straight raw. So, with discussion with my husband, we opted to try and switch Booker over to Honest Kitchen whole grain white fish as the higher Omega would possible help with his inflamed skin and the pumpkin for GI. After 22 days of switching over we went on a little vaca but the boys (two dogs) stayed home. Firstly, our person who watches our dogs loved the difference between Bookers new food and Bo (other dog, golden) raw food. Secondly, when we came back we had new fresh eyes and could see the difference like it was night and day. Bookers coat is brighter, skin pigment is clear and not hot/red and his coat is like puppy soft. Best of all he doesn't scratch and his skin oils do not have the weird linger smell after petting him. Upon all of this, my husband who is our budgeter was sooo impressed that he suggested that we switch Bo our 10yr golden over as its been so amazing for Booker that it would be in the best interest to give that to our 10yr boy too. YEAHHH
