Brodie

Brodie developed pancreatitis when he was 13 years old and then exocrine pancreatic insufficiency which is a death sentence without treatment. Even with treatment it can be incredibly difficult to treat effectively. November 2019 Brodie took a turn for the worst and I thought for sure he wasn�t going to survive. He lost over 20 lbs in only a few weeks, he was unable to get any nutrients from food due to the pancreatic insufficiency and was essentially starving to death in front of me despite all the meds and expensive vet rx food I was feeding him. It was devastating to see him suffer, I felt helpless but he wanted to live and I wanted to help him. I knew the vet rx foods weren�t good quality however given the severity of Brodie�s condition I wanted to follow the vets orders. After using up a bag of the vet rx food with zero improvement I knew I had to do something or he wasn�t going to make it. I switched him back to honest kitchen, he�s been on it most of his life previously. The honest kitchen dehydrated food plus pancreatic enzyme medication and probiotics turned his life around! Now he�s 14.5 years old and back to a healthy weight. He�s happy, has energy and can�t wait to swim in the pool all summer long!
