Buddy
Buddy was abandoned in a crate on a residential front porch. He weighed 7 pounds and had a severe dental infection at only approximately 2 years old. The rescue and vet thought he may have had an injury to his jaw. His eye was swollen due to the infection, and several teeth removed due to an abscess. His mouth was unable to open more than an inch or two and he cried out in pain often. I fostered him after losing a senior dog at the beginning of the pandemic. Buddy was fearful and had difficulty eating. The rescue had him on kibble but I experimented with different foods for him. I am concerned with the quality of dog food in general, so I was quite happy to have found THK. Buddy loves it! I love it because I dont have to wonder what is in it, and feel good about the high standards of human grade ingredients. Buddy is now at a healthy 14 pounds and in fantastic health, except for his jaw. After two more dental surgeries he can open his mouth now several inches. He doesnt have pain like he did when he first came to stay with me. He will never be able to fully open his mouth (I have yet to see him yawn) according to his veterinarian, due to scar tissue on one side, but he does well and is very happy. I adopted him in July of 2020 and work from home so we get to be together almost all the time, and thats the best!
