Cabbie

Cabbie /

In October 2021, Cabbie was having loose bloody stool. At the time, this wasn't extremely uncommon for her intermittently if she got into the wrong thing or the food we were feeding changed ingredients. I tried everything I knew between food changes and pumpkin and nothing worked. I knew something was wrong. I brought her to my vet and we did blood work and an ultrasound where they unfortunately found a mass at her ileocecal junction and we were referred to an oncology practice. The aspiration biopsy did not provide answers so we were set for a bowel resection and exploratory surgery. We started her on the dehydrated L.I.D. Fish about a week before surgery because we were desperate for her to get some relief. Unfortunately, they had to remove about 6in of her bowel including her ileocecal junction and we got a diagnosis of gastrointestinal lymphoma from the biopsy. This food has been a LIFESAVER!! She has had solid stool ever since starting this food despite the surgery and chemotherapy. The vets are so impressed with her and how she is doing with everything. I am impressed with her. She is a warrior. I know this food has helped tremendously and I am so grateful. I highly recommend The Honest Kitchen!
