Candy was overweight for a while (83 lbs). We tried to reduce the amount of food, and tried several different kinds of food, in addition to her regular daily exercise. She lost a few pounds, but her weight stayed at high 70's for a long time although our vet told us that her ideal weight is around 68-70 lbs. We switched to Honest Kitchen's Preference less than one year ago, and she gradually lost her weight since then. She is around 68 lbs now. She used to limp when we took her for a walk, but she doesn't limp anymore and is more active:)
