Chase

Chase / I adopted Chase right before his 9th birthday. His owner since 8 weeks had ad passed away and he found himself in rescue. He was very anxious and overweight. He weighed 98 pounds! I immediately started him on a raw diet and exercised him regularly. n nThe next 2 years with Chase proved very challenging as he was diagnosed with Mast Cell Cancer and had several surgeries and diet changes. One surgery that really altered his diet was a Splenectomy. Without a Spleen, he was no longer tolerating a raw diet. His stomach was upset and always churned and made gurgling sounds. He was on ground beef, chicken and rice for 2 solid months. I knew I had to find a good, quality food that wouldn't cause further distress but everything we tried didn't agree with Chase. I felt horrible that he either had diarrhea or was vomiting unless he was eating the ground beef and rice. That's when I remembered seeing an Honest Kitchen ad on line and went to the site. After about 30 minutes of adding and removing food and digestive aids to my cart I hit order. I was a bit nervous because if this didn't work we were back to square 1! n nI have to say, Chase and I were both a bit skeptical about this new dehydrated food! The first time I gave it to him he ate it so fast I thought for certain I would be seeing it again. After he ate that first meal, he went right from the bowl to his his bed. His stomach wasn't making any noise for the first time in months! n nNeedless to say, we are hooked on Honest Kitchen Dehydrated food! When he does have stomach issues, we use the digestive enzyme powder and it straightens it out in a day! n nWe are thankful for a great food! n
