Food is Medicine
What do you do with a rescue dog that's underweight and a picky eater? Feed them Honest Kitchen dehydrated food and add the gravy toppers. It's made all the difference in getting out fur baby looking forward to his meals. We feed him 3 times a day and he is now at a normal weight and can stay there. His coat is shinier and he has energy to do zoomies! We tried cooking human food ourselves to feed to our lucky dog. Canned sardines, grassfed beef, chicken, turkey, you name it. But for some reason, we weren't hitting the mark because after the initial excitement, he would look at us like, this again? And he would walk away. Our puppers has always been skinny. Yes, he's a rescue dog but he's also been with us for enough years that he shouldn't look like a rescue pup anymore. We needed to get his diet right and we just weren't providing enough variety. Now he will come poke us with his snout to say, when's my next meal? His ribs aren't showing anymore and he looks normal and healthy. We change up the protein and add different toppers, which keeps him interested and we love the convenience. Traveling is also a breeze. No more dry kibble with questionable ingredients. We are converted because we recognize that food is medicine and quality food makes all the difference.
