Chili
As fosters for a few different rescues, we've tried lots of different dog foods. The rescues rely on donations so the foods we'd get with our foster dogs were constantly changing. One day they gave us a bag of Honest Kitchen Chicken & Oat clusters for small breeds and we will never feed a different food again! For one, you can see and smell the quality of the food in the cluster. We've tried much more expensive dog foods that still look and smell exactly like cheap kibble. With Honest Kitchen you can actually see the difference in the various colors and textures. It doesn't smell like dog food, and doesn't reek up the entire cabinet like kibble tends to do (even when you are careful about rolling down the bag and clipping it shut). It looks good enough to eat (I haven't, but I'm sure I could). Now that I've adopted my own dog, I was on the fence about feeding a fresh or dehydrated diet. Everywhere you look you seem to get ads telling you that kibble is poison and anything other than homecooked meals is animal abuse. But fresh or dehydrated food is such an expense, I have no idea how I would afford to feed it consistently. Honest Kitchen helps me feel good about feeding dry food. I've also ordered some goats milk to try on top of the clusters for an extra treat and a way to keep my dog Chili's digestion on track. I love that Honest Kitchen has so many options for me to try with the toppers and supplements.
