All True Stories
For several weeks Coco, my adopted senior pup, was regurgitating large amounts of bile every night. I immediately contacted her vet and they suggested that she could be experiencing food allergies or acid reflux. We tried several different foods and medicines and her condition stayed the same. I went as far as to even have x-rays, ultra sounds, and other tests run in hopes of solving this mystery.
n
nWith no new news I began researching holistic alternatives for pets and found the Honest Kitchen! After watching a few videos about raw diets and reading the true stories here online, I was sold. I followed the recommendations on transitioning your pets to a raw diet and it was super easy. Coco loved Zeal. I even mixed in a little bit of coconut oil!
n
nA few weeks after starting the diet, Coco passed a rubber gasket that she had eaten from our rice cooker in her stool. Mystery solved, however, our Zeal story doesn't end there...
n
nAbout six months ago Coco suffered from a severe head trauma that caused her to have a seizure.
nShe was immediately rushed to Cypress Lake Animal Hospital. When I arrived to meet her I was not sure of her condition or if it was going to be my last time to see her. Coco was unresponsive, drooling, and contorted from the seizure. The vet let me sit with her outside until the clinic closed.
n
nI returned everyday in hopes to aid in Coco's progress and healing. When it came time to see if she would/could eat on her own Coco was uninterested in the food at the clinic. I gladly brought her Zeal over. As soon as she smelled it her little tongue started to move. I held Coco in my lap and finger fed her as much Zeal as she could eat.
n
nEvery day was a new challenge, but Coco managed to relearn something new each day. She stood on her own, used the bathroom outside, and even walked on her own by following my voice. I couldn't be more proud and amazed of my pup!
n
nI truly believe that Zeal has kept her strong and healthy! We visited the vet recently for a check up and she mentioned that her arthritis was looking good and that no one can believe she's 15 years old. Thank you Honest Kitchen for providing me and Coco with such an awesome product!
