Coon

 Coon / When Coon was 1 year old, she developed a life-threatening reaction to a vaccine. After an emergency visit to the vet with a 104.5 degree fever, Coon was diagnosed with Sterile Meningitis, an auto-immune disease that only responds to steroids. She was prescribed Prednisone and got every side effect, including horrendous UTIs. We tried weaning her off and her symptoms relapsed. I couldn't put my pup through that anymore so I visited my local holistic pet store desperate for another way to save my fur baby. Coon needed a limited ingredient diet for her inflammation but couldn't handle frozen raw due to the steroid suppressing her immune system. Long story short, she started the Minimalist Recipe Thrive combined with fish oil and prebiotics, was successfully weaned off the Prednisone and she is now a happy, healthy 4 year old and steroid free!
