Cooper

Cooper has had digestive issues since a puppy. We narrowed it down to grain. But at times,even grain free foods don't agree with him. He is on two different allergy meds monthly and finds some relief from being itchy. The sad thing is...Cooper was born with disc disease. At the age 2,Cooper woke up paralyzed on his back end.He had to have double disc surgery, which left him a long road to recovery. After several months of intense therapy, Cooper was able to stand up on his own. And after a year he was able to walk on his own. He will always have an unstable gate. But he's happy to have some independence back! Unfortunately, he is unable to scratch because of his weak gate. So the right food is So Important!!! We have tried soo many brands,flavors,textures. One day at my local pet store,they suggested Honest Kitchen. Now most people say,Beagles will eat anything! Unfortunately Cooper is not your typical Beagle. Possibly from always being sick,he is a VERY hesitant eater! Well...when we introduced him to Honest Kitchen kibble there was No hesitation. He ate the whole bowl!! After going through a 2lb bag,I went a bought another. And the pet store suggested adding the Pate or Pour Over. Well...that was a big hit as well. After several weeks,and seeing such great results with willingness to eat and No Itching..I placed an order for delivery! Cooper has been so excited for food again! Its warms my heart. Because he struggles so much. And its so good to see him enjoy his meals!
