My rescued girl was SO fat when I got her, she could only sit sideways and she had blown her ACL. She needed heart-worm treatments, 2 sessions because of her weight, and my job was to get the weight off. The vet gave me samples of metabolic Science Diet after 2 other foods didn't budge her weight. (You don't want to read those ingredients either). When my friend told me about Honest Kitchen, and the real food in it, we switched and the girl was able to take off 13 pounds total, and has kept it off. The rescue workers can't believe how much better she looks and how beautiful her coat is. She no longer has the muffin top on her behind (the vet's description, not mine). She is a real sweet dog and now when I walk her, I don't feel like I'm walking a pot belly pig!
