All True Stories
My boy Cyrus is a rescue dog I got him at 10 months old. He will be 8 years in a few weeks. I had him on Taste of the Wild for years. In Aug of 2012 he got diagnosed with vasculitis. His back hocks started to swell. He got put on prednisone. He was doing great for about 2 years. In May 2014 he started to not want to eat any food. I did manage to get him to eat some honest kitchen samples that I had and some Stella and Chewy's. He ended up being border line atypical addison's. He started gaining so much weight being on a low dose of pred I had to put him on a low calorie food which ended up being nutro lite lamb as he has chicken sensitivities and gets diarrhea. He started to lose some weight and was maintaining it. He got really gassy lately as they can change their formula I have heard so I wanted something different for him that was healthy and might help him to feel full. So I just recently started the honest kitchen verve the beef with the grain as it has less calories than the grain free beef. He sure does love to eat it he gobbles it up, he whines while I am mixing it and doesn't like to wait, lol. He is still a bit gassy but isn't as stinky as he still gets some of the dry food right now. I am hoping that he does well on this once he is fully switched over. He just developed another auto immune disease that we are trying to narrow down so he is on a higher dose of prednisone again and losing weight so I am hoping that this will help him with any nutrition that he may need while he isn't feeling that greatest right now! We have just started our 2nd 4lb box.
