nBoth happen to have sensitive stomachs and our vet feels Daphne has IBS and Colitis. Both dogs are prone to overgrowth of bacteria that results in loose stools and frequently being put on antibiotics (both short term heavy antibiotics like Metranidizole and long term milder antibiotics like Tylison). We didn't feel this was a rest of their life solution so we started researching other options. Plus it gets expensive to have frequent fecal testing and antibiotic doses from the vet's office.

nOne of the best ways to curtail overgrowth of bacteria is adding fiber to their diets. We discovered the perfect form fiber supplement through our local feed store and have been using it since. For starters the dogs lick their bowls clean so the taste is doggie approved. More importantly, our dogs have not been on antibiotics for stomach issues since introducing them to this supplement. We moved to a new city this summer and while we were waiting for the fence to be repaired in our new home, our dogs stayed with my parents. Normally stressful events trigger additional stomach issues for Declan and Daphne but again I credit perfect form fibre supplement with keeping their digestion on track. It works like a charm! It's also easy to use for us humans - just add water and mix.

nWe have been so impressed with the supplement that we put our third dog, Dutch, a 5ish year old labradoodle on it as well. All three of our dogs look great, have loads of energy and solid stools which makes picking up the backyard a lot easier.

nWe have also tried the dehydrated foods for the dogs. All three of our dogs absolutely loved the taste. They would literally be drooling when I mixed it up. With three big dogs we decided for financial reasons to use it as a topper to their food versus a full meal replacement. We reduced their kibble and added the Honest Kitchen. Unfortunately due to Declan's potato allergy we couldn't keep them on the food. He ended up with staph infections on his belly and groin area. We are hoping that Honest Kitchen comes out with a non potato based food for us to try as I'm sure the dogs would like to see that back in their diet.
