Detour

Detour / I generally use Honest Kitchen in place of raw when traveling. The first time I tried it, I was concerned that my dogs might have a little stomach upset from the switch. I was happily surprised to find that they not only LOVED it, it did not cause any issues with their digestive system despite the sudden switch. I now also stock up on it for times that I forget to thaw out their food as well. My dogs are just as excited to get their Honest Kitchen dinner as their raw dinners! I love that all of the food is human grade - this is extremely important to me. When I first opened up the package, it even smelled good to me. You won't find that with kibble or regular canned dog food. I have tried all of the grain free products and my dogs were equally happy with all of them. When on the road it can be very difficult to feed raw, so when I use Honest Kitchen I just have to bring a small container of the dehydrated food and plenty of water and something to mix it with. Very easy to make and doesn't take up much room at all. Even my picky border collie loves the food, and she's not easy to please. The first time she tried it, she gave it a sniff and dove right in. She ate every bit of it. She's older and we can have a tough time keeping weight on her so anything that gets her that happy to eat is always a win!
