I'd like to introduce you to our boy Drayden, a 10 year old Golden Retriever. Drayden has been with our family since he was an 8 week old ball of fluff and has been such a wonderful part of our lives.

nDrayden has always been a very active boy and we live in an area with many beaches, trails and generally fabulous dog spots. As he got a little older, it became increasingly more difficult to maintain his weight at the level he needed. It seemed that regardless of the exercise he had, he gained more weight. Drayden has also been the recipient of 2 new knees and I knew it was important to maintain his weight as to not put any undo stress on his body.

nI knew i needed to change his diet away from regular kibble but a raw diet just wasn't practical for our families lifestyle. Our vet, Dr. Michael Goldberg, recommended we try The Honest Kitchen in an effort to provide him with an alternative to kibble.

nWe first started with Zeal, as it has the least calories, and I saw in a month that his weight was starting to decrease, but his energy and overall enthusiasm was increasing. After a couple of months of Zeal, we switched to Embark to maintain his weight level.

nDrayden has now been on The Honest Kitchen diet for over 18 months and his weight, level of energy, and overall good health have never been better. I am an avid runner, and i wouldnt have even considered bringing Dray with us prior to switching to The Honest Kitchen. Now, even at 10 years old, Dray runs with me on my 6 milers 4 days a week, and i can barely keep up!

nI have also just recently discovered THK treats, and the Nuzzles and Smooches are an all time favorite. His treat after a run is a Beam snack, which is pretty much the best thing ever (next to breakfast).

nI am a committed member of the THK club and I recommend it to everyone one i know that truly loves their dogs.
