Ekko

Ekko /

This is Ekko, my 1 year old husky mix and Charlie, my 5 1/2 month old Australian cattle dog. I've spent countless hours on-line researching the best dog food on the market. In the past I've used prescription food, Blue Buff, and various limited ingredient foods. They were all pretty (for lack of a better word) disgusting. I wanted to make homemade food for my dogs but received disapproving looks from the vet on this topic. I thought fresh food delivery might be a great option, but $500+ per month sort of breaks the budget. Then I happened to see an ad on Amazon for dehydrated dog food (I had no idea that was a thing). So I did my research, and could not find a single bad review about The Honest Kitchen. I went straight to Chewy and ordered small bags of the puppy food clusters, adult food clusters and dehydrated food, to give it a try. My dogs ate around and spit out the old food that was mixed in with the honest kitchen food. LOL, I guess they really like it. I was baffled by how amazing this food smelled (I literally just smelled herbs)and I still take a sniff every day. I went to dump the old food and realized just how foul it was, and greasy; YUK! Now the girls have normal poos, and are content to eat their food each and every day. I ended up getting my subscription directly from the source, because it was cheaper. I chose to use the dehydrated food as a topper because is comes out like a mush, and the girls seem to prefer the crunchy clusters. Thank you Honest Kitchen, for making a food that I'm proud to serve to my dogs. I am definitely going to try out the the treats and pate too :)
