My gsd had a severe case of pancreatitis where he was hospitalized 3 times and the 3rd time he was in the hospital for 4 weeks. We really thought we were going to lose him. Things were very grim between exploratory surgery, sepsis, abscess removed, blood transfusions, etc. he pulled through and was put on low-fat prescription food. There�s not many but his system was working on it w meds and he came home. Little did I realize after about a month on it he was showing extreme allergic signs. Raging ear infection, eye discharge, pawing his face, licking paws, etc. I look at the ingredients and it�s all things he tested highly allergic to plus actual garbage for about $90 such a disgrace. I continually kept in touch w his hospital and said the food has to change. So after much research and reading reviews I found this life saving food for him. We transitioned him for about 4 days and the rest is history. He loves it, his system accepted it, his poop is great! He poops a little more than normal bc it has more fiber in it & it is real human grade food. We will also try the whole grain beef bc between all kinds offered they are the lowest in fat. He has probiotics added to his food. I�ll pay what it costs for this food any day over that other exorbitant garbage. Honest Kitchen is a life savor. Thank you!
