Filson
Filson is a conservation detection dog with the Rogue Detection Teams. He travels the country to sniff for data on endangered species, and by data, yes, we mean scat (or animal poop- it holds a lot of information that can all be derived noninvasively!). Anyways, Filson is always on the go and works really, really hard in the field of wildlife conservation. Whether he is surveying in Yosemite National Park for mountain lion, or in the Sierra Nevadas for red fox, or Oregon for bumblebees, caterpillar larvae, or Humboldt marten, he needs a healthy diet to keep his energy up. Because we change climates so much while traveling for work, he also suffers sometimes from cracked nails. Before switching to Honest Kitchen, he also seemed to have sensitivity to some foods. Our program researched the best, highest quality foods on the market, with standards equal to our own, and loved that HK was human grade and ticked off all the checkboxes to provide each of our working dogs the diet they required (we have 14!). Suffice to say, now that Filson is on HK, we haven't seen his stomach sensitivities come back, his nails are strong, he has amazing energy (still acts like a puppy!), and overall, we feel good knowing we're giving our dogs the nutrition they need to do their important work for our environment. HK's dehydrated food also came in handy on our backpacking trips into Yosemite's remote backcountry!
